1. Who We Are
Type The Voice is a Telegram bot that transcribes voice messages into text. The Service is operated by:

2. What Data We Collect
Telegram user ID
When you start the bot, we store your Telegram user ID to identify your account, track usage, and manage your subscription. We do not collect your name, phone number, or any other profile information from Telegram.
Voice messages
Audio files you forward to the bot are sent to OpenAI’s Whisper API for transcription. Audio files are currently retained on our servers and we are in the process of implementing automated deletion within 30 days of processing. Only the resulting text is returned to you — we do not store the transcription result.
Subscription and usage data
We store your subscription plan, start and expiry dates, minutes consumed, and payment reference IDs to manage your access to the Service. For card payments via Stripe, we also store the email address you enter during the Stripe checkout form as part of the payment record.
Technical logs
Basic error logs may be recorded for debugging and service stability. These do not contain the content of your voice messages or transcriptions.
3. Legal Basis (GDPR)
We process personal data on the following grounds under GDPR Article 6:
- Performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — processing voice messages for transcription; managing your subscription.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — maintaining error logs for debugging and security.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where required by applicable law (e.g. financial record-keeping).
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following sub-processors to operate the Service:

Transfers of data to the United States (OpenAI, Stripe) are carried out under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in accordance with GDPR Chapter V.
5. Data Retention

6. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:

- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Lodge a complaint — with your national supervisory authority. In Poland: UODO (uodo.gov.pl).

7. Cookies and Tracking
The website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics services.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
